Emergency rescue operations are ongoing at the crash site, with teams from the Central Operational Headquarters of Russia leading the recovery efforts. The teams are working to identify the victims and secure the remains for further investigation.
According to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations, 38 bodies have been located and sent to the forensic examination centre for identification and analysis. The deceased include six Kazakh nationals and three members of the aircraft's crew.
The authorities have confirmed the previous reports of the crash, which have sent shockwaves across the affected countries. Efforts are now focused on determining the exact cause of the crash while authorities continue to provide updates on the recovery operation.
