U.S. President Donald Trump has said he will “soon be reviewing” a new 14-point proposal sent by Iran, casting doubt on the chances of a deal after Tehran called for security guarantees, an end to naval blockades and a halt to the war across the region, including in Lebanon.

Iran FM rejects regime's counter-proposal includes 'zero-storage principle' for nucler enrichment

Iran said on Sunday that the United States had responded to its 14-point proposal via Pakistan and that it was reviewing the response, state media reported.

"At this stage, we do not have nuclear negotiations," an Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson said, according to state media.

Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has dismissed an Al Jazeera report that said Tehran’s 'peace' proposal to the United States included Iran’s return to enrichment at 3.6% under a “zero-storage principle,” saying the 14-point plan was focused only on ending the war.

Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei told state television “I once again emphasize that Iran’s 14-point proposal is focused exclusively on ending the war”.

“Therefore, none of the issues addressed by some media have any place in our proposal..In the current circumstances, we do not have nuclear negotiations” he said.

Bulk carrier 'attacked' in Middle East region

A bulk carrier reported being attacked by multiple small craft while transiting north about 11 nautical miles west of Iran's Sirik on Sunday, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations agency said, adding that all crew were safe and no environmental impact was reported.

U.S. Central Command have given an update in the amount of vessels that have been intercepted as a result of the blockade which began on Monday 13 April.

It effects all vessels going in and out of Iran's sea ports of whichever country.

Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, has been speaking at an event in Athens in solidarity of what is happening in Gaza. She said that "UN member states must not aid or assist Israel in any possible way".

“Instead of cutting ties with this, European states have continued to trade to protect, to arm, to sell weapons, to buy spying tools from Israel, increasing the security grip in their societies, arresting them, arresting activists, arresting activists, and crushing fundamental freedoms. This is so there are. This is the Israelisation of our societies", she continued.

Israel have been fighting a multi-front conflict in the West Bank, Iran and Lebanon.

ADNOC pledges $55bn for new projects

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) said it will invest $55 billion in new projects over the next two years, days after the UAE exited OPEC.

“ADNOC today confirmed it is accelerating growth and delivery of its strategy with AED 200 billion ($55 billion) in new project awards for 2026-2028,” the company said.

Seven producers including Saudi Arabia and Russia have agreed to adjust oil output by 188,000 barrels per day, reaffirming their commitment to market stability, OPEC said.

Israel approves multi-billion jet deal

Israel has approved plans to buy new F-35 and F-15IA fighter squadrons from Lockheed Martin and Boeing as part of a wider military build-up.

Iran executes man convicted in killing of security officer during 2022 unrest

Iran has executed Mehrab Abdollahzadeh, a man convicted over the killing of a security officer during the 2022 unrest, according to the judiciary’s Mizan news outlet. The execution follows a Supreme Court decision in late 2025 upholding his sentence.

Abdollahzadeh was identified as a key figure in the death of security officer Abbas Fatemiyeh, who was killed amid nationwide protests triggered by the death of Mahsa Amini while in police custody.

Authorities say Abdollahzadeh confessed to assaulting the officer. However, rights group HRANA has cited a source claiming the confession was obtained under torture.

Israel urges residents to leave southern Lebanon amid Hezbollah operations

Israel’s military has issued an urgent warning to residents of 11 towns and villages in southern Lebanon to leave their homes and move at least 1,000 metres away, as it carries out operations against Hezbollah following what it described as a ceasefire breach.

It said anyone near Hezbollah fighters or sites could be at risk, as strikes continue across the south and the group maintains drone and rocket attacks on Israeli forces and northern Israel.
