International Robot Exhibition draws visitors in Tokyo

The International Robot Exhibition (IREX) opened in Tokyo on 3 December, bringing together visitors to explore robotics applications for industry, healthcare, logistics, and everyday life.

Running until 6 December, the event showcases a diverse range of technologies presented by exhibitors eager to demonstrate how robotics can benefit various sectors.

First held in 1974 and organised biennially since then, the exhibition is now in its 26th edition and is considered one of the largest robot-focused events globally.

The 2025 edition is themed “Sustainable Societies Through Robotics,” highlighting the aim of creating new industries and tackling social challenges through collaboration between humans and robots.

Throughout the exhibition, cutting-edge robots and related technologies, including AI, ICT, and component systems, are on display.
