Russian President Vladimir Putin said a peaceful resolution between Iran and Israel is possible if all sides are involved. He emphasized the need to respect Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear energy and ensure Israel’s security.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that de-escalation of tensions between Israel and Iran can only be achieved through inclusive dialogue involving all parties. He made the remarks during a traditional meeting with the heads of leading international news agencies in St. Petersburg.

Putin emphasized that any potential resolution must take into account Iran’s right to pursue peaceful nuclear energy, while also ensuring Israel’s security as a Jewish state.

“This is a very sensitive issue and should be approached with great caution. However, I believe that such a resolution is generally possible,” he stated.

The Russian president added that Moscow maintains long-term cooperation with Tehran in the energy sector, built on mutual trust. He recalled that Russia had completed the construction of Iran’s Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant and signed contracts for the construction of two additional units.

Putin also noted that Russia’s views on a possible resolution have already been communicated to the United States, Israel, and Iran. “We are not imposing anything on anyone, we are simply sharing our perspective on a way out of the situation,” he said.
