At the second China-Central Asia Summit held in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, China and five Central Asian countries signed the "Treaty of Eternal Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation," establishing a new legal foundation for strategic partnership.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that this agreement will ensure long-term and stable cooperation among the parties. He highlighted the introduction of the “China-Central Asia Spirit” as one of the key outcomes of the summit. This spirit is based on mutual trust, respect, benefit, and assistance, and has received unanimous support from all participating countries.
More than 100 cooperation documents were signed at the summit. The initiatives cover culture, education, regional partnership, and tourism, strengthening new ties. Additionally, over 100 sister-city agreements were reached between China and Central Asia, marking the successful realization of an initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping three years ago.
Political analysts note that the summit’s outcomes hold strategic importance for regional stability and sustainable development.
