Speaking at a reception in Ankara on the occasion of Azerbaijan Armed Forces Day, Türkiye’s Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler emphasized that the strategic cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan holds great importance for the region and the world.
The minister stated, “In this critical period, it is essential for our countries to be strong in every field. The brotherhood and solidarity between Türkiye and Azerbaijan are built on solid foundations.”
Güler also noted, “Azerbaijan’s strength is Türkiye’s strength, and Türkiye’s strength is Azerbaijan’s strength,” adding that this unity was once again proven during the Patriotic War. He said that Azerbaijan’s victory is a source of pride for the entire Turkic world.
The minister highlighted that close cooperation covers areas such as defense and security training, joint operations, and personnel exchange, and noted that this collaboration will continue under the principle of “Two states, one nation, one army.”
