Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov announced that joint efforts are ongoing with Georgia, Romania, and Hungary on the development of the “Green Energy Corridor” project, which will run across the Black Sea seabed to Europe.
Speaking at the Tashkent International Investment Forum, Asadov emphasized the strategic importance of the project for regional energy cooperation and sustainability.
He also noted that within the framework of COP29, the presidents of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan signed a trilateral agreement aimed at facilitating green energy exports to Europe via the Caspian Sea–Black Sea route.
The corridor is expected to become a key infrastructure for delivering renewable energy from Central Asia and the South Caucasus to the European market.
