Armenia’s PM Pashinyan arrives in Russia for talks with Putin

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is in Russia for a working visit, with talks expected to focus on bilateral and regional cooperation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In a post on Telegram on Wednesday, Pashinyan shared a video of his arrival and confirmed plans to meet Putin.

The Kremlin press service reported that Putin and Pashinyan will discuss the current state and prospects of the Russian-Armenian strategic partnership and alliance, as well as integration and cooperation across the Eurasian region.

The development of economic, transport and logistics links across the South Caucasus is expected to be among the key priorities of their discussions.

Putin and Pashinyan held a telephone conversation on 23 March, during which they discussed bilateral issues and agreed to meet in person at the earliest opportunity.
