“They expect to arrive in Moscow and then Kyiv on September 5-6,” the anonymous source was quoted as saying.
Air Tanzania has suspended flights between Dar es Salaam and Moscow with immediate effect. The company said the suspension was “temporary," but didn't say when flights would resume in a statement posted on Instagram.
“The decision follows a routine risk assessment of the operating environment along the route... Safety considerations always take precedence over commercial ones,” the firm said.
Earlier this week Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia's airspace was becoming “completely unsafe" due to the presence of drones. Airports across the country, including in Moscow, have had to suspend flights overnight in the past week due to safety concerns.
Russia attacked energy infrastructure in Ukraine's southern Odesa region overnight, Ukraine's Energy Ministry said, warning of possible network restrictions.

“Ultimately, however, the problem must be resolved by the countries involved in the conflict – Russia and Ukraine,” he said.
