Trump threatens further strikes on Iran 

U.S. President Donald Trump has warned of additional attacks on Iran, while adding that he doesn’t expect renewed fighting to last “too long.” His remarks come as Tehran said 18 people had been killed and 142 injured in the latest round of U.S. strikes. Kuwait, meanwhile, said it was responding to missile and drone attacks from Iran. 

Flights suspended at Moscow airports over drone threat

Moscow’s two busiest airports, Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo, cancelled arrivals and departures for the second consecutive night, following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s threats to make Russia's airspace “completely unsafe.” Flight suspensions also affected Gelendzhik and Sochi airports on the Black Sea, and airports in the west and southwest of the country. 

Israel ready to move Gaza residents if U.S. approves 

Israel is prepared to facilitate the removal of Palestinians from Gaza as soon as the U.S. approves the plan, the country’s Defence Minister Israel Katz has said. Katz told a conference on Wednesday that there was no solution for Gaza without migration, noting that the proposal had previously faced obstacles due to other countries’ unwillingness to accept Gazans. 

Protesters in Ceuta demand action over migration crisis 

Residents of the Spanish coastal enclave of Ceuta have protested against the government’s handling of a migration crisis triggered after thousands of people crossed into the territory from Morocco in July. More than 10,000 migrants are still staying in makeshift camps, or living on the streets and beaches, of the city on the north African coast. 

New York mayor bans AI at public schools

Zohran Mamdani, Mayor of New York City, has imposed a one-year ban on the use of artificial intelligence in elementary and middle schools. Mamdani said the decision was based on concerns about the technology’s detrimental impact on students’ interaction with teachers and classmates.
