On October 23, Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan, met with Gérard Larcher, President of the French Senate, in Paris.
The meeting was also attended by Cédric Perrin, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defense, and Armed Forces; Gilbert-Luc Devinaz, Chairman of the France-Armenia Friendship Group; and Alain Cadec, Vice-Chairman of the Senate Committee on European Affairs.
The officials discussed the development of Armenia-France strategic ties and reviewed steps to further strengthen cooperation.
They exchanged views on developments in the South Caucasus, with Minister Mirzoyan emphasizing Armenia’s potential as a key regional communication hub within the framework of peace with Azerbaijan.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister Mirzoyan signed the Senate’s Guest of Honor “Golden Book,” expressing gratitude to President Larcher and all Senate members for their support and reaffirming the commitment to a flourishing Armenia-France partnership based on shared values, common history, and enduring friendship.
