Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu apologised to his Qatari counterpart for Israel's attack in Doha during a telephone call from the White House on Monday.

Qatar confirmed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during his U.S. visit, called Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani to apologize for Israel’s airstrike on Doha on 9 September.

Israeli Prime Minister told his Qatari counterpart on Monday that Israel has no plan to violate the Gulf state's sovereignty again, following a strike on Doha earlier this month that unsuccessfully targeted Hamas officials.

A statement from the Israeli prime minister’s office said that, during a phone call with the Qatari prime minister, Netanyahu also said he had conveyed the same commitment to U.S. President Donald Trump and expressed Israel’s regret over the death of a Qatari citizen in the attack.
