Kazakhstan is set to build 41 waste processing plants with a combined annual capacity of 1.1 million tons, according to the government’s press service, as reported by Kazakh media.
The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources is currently reviewing 65 projects valued at a total of 307 billion tenge ($579.2 million).
The completion of these projects will generate over 4,500 jobs and attract 54.6 billion tenge ($103 million) in private investments. The Ministry also highlighted that satellite imagery has been instrumental in eliminating approximately 4,500 landfills.
