Since 8 August, Armenia and Azerbaijan have been making targeted efforts to consolidate progress and deepen dialogue, Armenian National Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan said at a conference in Brussels.
Grigoryan highlighted that on 21–22 October, an Azerbaijani delegation of civil society representatives visited Armenia to participate in a bilateral roundtable for the first time. He noted that Armenian civil society representatives are expected to travel to Azerbaijan in the near future.
“Prior to involving civil society, the head of Armenia’s National Security Service visited Baku to attend an international security forum. Such visits and exchanges contribute to building mutual trust and understanding between the two societies and support the consolidation of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Grigoryan said.
Last month, a bilateral roundtable was held in Yerevan with the participation of civil society representatives from both countries. The initiative aimed to promote the peace agenda outlined in the Joint Declaration adopted in Washington on 8 August 2025.
The Azerbaijani delegation included Farhad Mammadov, Rusif Huseynov, Ramil Iskandarli, and Kamala Mammadova, while the Armenian side was represented by Areg Kochinyan, Boris Navasardyan, Naira Sultanyan, Narek Minasyan, and Samvel Meliksetyan.
