As Earth's dark umbral shadow fully envelops the moon from Thursday, March 13 to Friday, March 14, it will take on a dramatic reddish hue, known as a "blood moon," for 65 minutes.

The total lunar eclipse will take place at the same time across the night side of Earth — between 03:57 and 10:00 UTC on Friday, March 14, 2025. To witness the vivid red glow of the moon, make sure you're outside during the totality, which will last for 65 minutes, occurring from 06:26 to 07:31 UTC. For those in North America, the totality will take place from 2:26 a.m. to 3:31 a.m. EST on Friday, March 14.
