Russia and Iran have agreed to intensify cooperation in developing international transport corridors, especially the North-South corridor. The move aims to improve trade flows and create smoother transportation conditions for goods traveling through both countries.

According to Report, citing TASS, this initiative is part of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Agreement signed between the Russian Federation and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The agreement states that both parties will actively collaborate on developing international transport corridors that pass through their territories, especially the North-South transport corridor.
The cooperation aims to facilitate the movement of goods from both countries to third-party markets and create conditions for seamless transportation along these corridors, both for bilateral traffic and transit through their territories.
