Norway is stepping up military support for Ukraine with a $640 million package aimed at boosting the country's drone capabilities, both on the battlefield and for infrastructure protection.
Norway has announced it will provide 6.5 billion Norwegian kroner (approximately $640 million) to help Ukraine procure drones and drone-related technology. Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store emphasized the crucial role drones play in Ukraine's defense, both in frontline operations and in protecting critical infrastructure.
The aid package aligns with Ukraine’s stated military priorities, which include air defense systems, drones, artillery, and support for Ukrainian defense companies. This will contribute to building Ukraine’s long-term deterrence capacity, which will remain essential even after any potential peace agreement.
