An additional consignment of Russian wheat has been dispatched to Armenia via Azerbaijan transit routes on 24 April, continuing a series of deliveries using regional rail corridors.

A train consisting of five wagons departed from the Bilajari station on the outskirts of Baku, carrying a total of 350 tonnes of wheat, according to local media reports cited by Caliber.Az.

The shipment is set to pass through the Boyuk-Kasik station before entering Georgia, after which it will continue onward to Armenia.

This latest delivery follows a series of similar consignments in recent weeks. Previously, more than 24,000 tonnes of Russian wheat, over 1,600 tonnes of fertilisers and 68 tonnes of buckwheat have been transported to Armenia through Azerbaijani territory.

The most recent shipment prior to this took place on 1 April, when 349 tonnes of wheat were delivered along the same corridor.

The continued use of Azerbaijani transit routes underscores the gradual normalisation of logistical flows across the South Caucasus, particularly along rail connections linking Russia, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia.
