13 Pakistani soldiers killed in car bombing near Afghan border

At least 13 Pakistani soldiers were killed and several others injured after a suicide car bombing targeted a military convoy in North Waziristan’s Mir Ali area near the Afghan border on Saturday, in one of the deadliest attacks in recent months.

A deadly suicide bombing struck a Pakistani military convoy in Mir Ali, North Waziristan, near the Afghan border on Saturday, killing at least 13 soldiers, according to Pakistani intelligence sources and a local official.

The attack, confirmed as a suicide blast by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s chief minister's office, also injured around 10 others, some critically. The wounded soldiers were flown to a military hospital for treatment.

The powerful explosion was felt across the town, with witnesses describing shattered windows and collapsed roofs. 

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur condemned the attack and expressed condolences to the victims' families. No group has claimed responsibility yet.
