A Russian drone attack on Kyiv has left 11 injured and homes damaged, as Ukraine rejects Moscow’s proposed ceasefire as political theater.
At least 11 people, including two children aged 14 and 17, were injured in a Russian drone strike on Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv.
The overnight attack damaged multiple homes and vehicles across several districts of the city, including Shevchenkivskyi, Obolonskyi, and Svyatoshynskyi. Emergency services were dispatched to the affected areas.
The strike comes amid an uptick in Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities in recent weeks, with casualties reported in Kryvyi Rih, Sumy, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Kyiv.
Russian President Vladimir Putin recently proposed a three-day ceasefire from May 7 to 9 to coincide with Russia’s Victory Day commemorations. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy rejected the offer, calling it a “theatrical performance” aimed at easing Moscow’s international isolation.
