Sites in Moscow, the city of Voronezh in southwestern Russia, Astrakhan in southern Russia and Bryansk, southwest of Moscow, were also targeted, he said.
Ukraine downed 128 drones overnight, Ukraine's General Staff has said in a post on X.
Russia struck the country with 149 drones, according to Ukraine's military command.

Flights at Lublin and Rzeszów airports in Poland have resumed, the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency said on X.
Earlier, operations at both airports were suspended due to the Polish Air Force carrying out preventative operations related to Russian missile strikes on Ukraine, the Polish army said.
