A nationwide general strike in Belgium on Monday brought the country to a standstill, grounding all departing flights from Brussels Airport and Brussels South Charleroi Airport.
The 24-hour protest, the second this year, also led to the cancellation of all inbound flights at Charleroi, while some arrivals at Brussels Airport may still operate.
The strike has severely disrupted local train services, though Eurostar trains to London and Paris remain unaffected. Workers and unions are protesting government labor reforms, citing concerns over job security and working conditions.
Travelers in Belgium on March 31 should expect delays and cancellations across various transport networks.
