Following to talks with Ukrainian counterparts to "advance the President’s goal to end the Russia-Ukraine war", Secretary of State Marco Rubio will travel to Charlevoix, Canada.
According to a statement from the U.S. State Department, Rubio will visit Canada from March 12-14 to meet with counterparts at the G7 Foreign Ministers’ meeting, aiming to "advance President Trump’s America First foreign policy agenda."
Secretary Rubio’s engagements will further U.S. interests in peace and security, strategic cooperation, and global stability, the statement reads.
The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will host the G7 Foreign Ministers’ meeting.
The G7 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting will include discussions on the ongoing support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s aggression, the situation in the Middle East and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. The meeting will also address significant issues in the Americas, including the ongoing crises in Haiti and Venezuela, as well as peace and security challenges in Africa, particularly in Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
