Video from the USGS (United States Geological Survey) showed on Friday (19 September) the Kilauea volcano in Hawaii erupting and spewing lava.

According to the USGS website, Kilauea is 'one of the world's most active volvanoes' and has been erupting periodically since 23 December, 2024.

The USGS website also states that the volcano has erupted dozens of times since 1952 and from 1983 to 2018 eruptive activity was nearly continuous along the volcano's East Rift Zone.
