Three people were killed in Ukrainian drone attacks overnight in Russia’s Tula and Nizhny Novgorod regions, with several others injured, as Moscow's air defences intercepted dozens of drones, officials said on Monday.
In the Tula region, which borders Moscow to the north, two people died and two were hospitalized following a pre-midnight attack, Tula Governor Dmitry Milyaev reported on Telegram.
Meanwhile, the Nizhny Novgorod region saw one death and two hospitalizations after an attack on an industrial zone, said Governor Gleb Nikitin.
Russian air defences claimed to have shot down 59 Ukrainian drones overnight, including 12 over Tula and two over Moscow.
However, the ministry does not disclose the total number of drones launched by Ukraine.
