China will expand its visa-free policy to include Japan, Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, and other countries, starting from November 30, 2024, and lasting until December 31, 2025. This announcement was made by a foreign ministry spokesperson on Friday.
In addition to this expansion, China will also extend the visa-free stay period for citizens of all 38 countries included in its current visa-free program. The new stay period will be increased from 15 days to 30 days, according to state television CCTV.
This move follows China’s earlier visa-free arrangements with South Korea and several European countries, as part of efforts to boost tourism and trade amidst a sluggish economy.
