Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Afrim Gashi, President of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia, expressing satisfaction over bilateral ties and future cooperation opportunities.
The two sides expressed satisfaction with the steady growth in Azerbaijan–North Macedonia relations and highlighted the significant potential for expanding collaboration across multiple sectors.
They noted the importance of high-level reciprocal visits, referencing the recent official visit of North Macedonia’s President to Azerbaijan as a key milestone. Gashi emphasized that Azerbaijan is seen as a friendly nation by North Macedonia.
The discussions covered political, economic, and energy cooperation, and both parties welcomed the strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations.
