Azerbaijan and Kenya mark 20 years of diplomatic relations with strengthened dialogue and growing cooperation across energy, trade, and digital services.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Musalia Mudavadi, Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya as part of his official visit to the country. The meeting included both one-on-one and expanded sessions with delegations from both sides.
The discussions covered key areas of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, with a focus on marking the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties. Both parties highlighted the importance of continued high-level visits, regular political consultations, and strengthening the legal framework between the two countries.
They emphasized mutual trust and support in multilateral platforms such as the UN, the Non-Aligned Movement, and COP29. Cooperation potential in ICT, energy, agriculture, tourism, and climate action was discussed, alongside praise for collaboration between Azerbaijan’s “ASAN Khidmet” and Kenya’s “Huduma Programme” in public service delivery.
