Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree today instructing a delivery of power producing equipment to Ukraine, “in response to the current situation” in the country.
According to the presidential decree, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy will receive 1$ million to acquire locally-produced energy equipment and facilitate its shipment to Ukraine.
Funds will be allocated from the president's reserve fund under the 2025 state budget, the statement said.
It added that the two countries maintain diplomatic and economic relations based on various agreements, including the 2000 Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation, and Partnership, as well as the 2022 Joint Declaration signed by the heads of state.
