One person died after two freight trains collided on a bridge in Munich in the early hours of Saturday, causing two carriages to derail and crash onto the street below, police said.
The crash happened in the northern district of Milbertshofen at around 1:40 a.m. local time.
Emergency services dispatched around 60 first responders to the scene after receiving reports of the collision, according to Munich's fire service.
Police said the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
Authorities have not yet released further details about the victim or whether anyone else was injured.
