Armenia and Russia agree to continue implementing military-technical agreements

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Armenia and Russia have agreed to continue implementing previously reached agreements in the military-technical sphere following his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

“We had military-technical cooperation with Russia; at one stage, this cooperation significantly decreased or stopped,” Pashinyan said.

He noted that during his recent visit to Moscow and talks with Putin, both sides reached an understanding on the implementation of earlier agreements in the field of military-technical cooperation.

Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks in the Kremlin with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on 1 April 2026, during Pashinyan’s working visit to Moscow.

The discussions focused on the current state and future of the Russia- Armenia strategic partnership and alliance, as well as integration within Eurasian structures.

The leaders also exchanged views on regional issues, including the development of economic, transport, and logistics links in the South Caucasus.

According to the Russian media, the talks further covered key sectors such as energy and agriculture, which were highlighted as important areas for future cooperation.
