Global leaders have gathered in Antalya Diplomacy Forum, with discussions centred on geopolitical uncertainty and international cooperation.

Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan said work on the U.S.-backed TRIPP project is advancing, with efforts focused on finalising its financing model, corporate structure and potential routes.

Speaking to journalists after a panel titled 'South Caucasus: On the Path to Becoming a Strategic Centre', Kostanyan said the project is moving into its implementation phase following the adoption of its framework in January.

“We are continuing the implementation phase of the TRIPP project together with our American colleagues, or preparing to begin work on the ground,” he said.

Kostanyan added that work is ongoing on the financing model and the structure of the TRIPP company, which will be registered in Armenia.

He also noted that feasibility studies are being conducted with U.S. partners to determine possible transport routes and connection lines.

About the TRIPP corridor

TRIPP, also known as the Zangezur Corridor, is a proposed transit route of highways and railways intended to connect mainland Azerbaijan with its Nakhchivan exclave via southern Armenia.

The initiative followed the 8 August 2025 trilateral summit in Washington between Azerbaijan, Armenia and the United States, where a joint declaration was signed in the presence of U.S. President Donald Trump.
