The permitted duration of stay for Russian citizens in Azerbaijan has been reduced from 180 days to 90 days, according to Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ayhan Hacizade.
The decision, signed by Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov, limits the allowed stay for Russian nationals within a one-year period.
Hacizade noted that this adjustment was made on the basis of reciprocity, as recent amendments to Russian legislation have similarly reduced the stay limit for citizens of several countries, including Azerbaijan, from 180 days to 90 days.
