The Tehran Dialogue Forum 2025, scheduled for May 18–19, will host 200 international guests, including 40 current and former European officials.
Saeed Khatibzadeh, the chairman of the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS), affiliated with Iran’s Foreign Ministry, said that senior officials and decision-makers from all Persian Gulf littoral states, as well as high-ranking guests from China, Russia, and Afghanistan will participate in the event.
This year’s discussions will center on the region’s influence on the international order—and disorder—with a particular focus on convergence and divergence.
The head of the Institute for Political and International Studies (IPIS) described the Tehran Dialogue Forum as Iran’s most significant diplomatic platform for international dialogue, noting that the institute has organized such events for over four decades.
The forum was not held last year due to the passing of former President Ebrahim Raisi.
Saeed Khatibzadeh stated that senior officials and ambassadors are expected to attend the forum’s opening ceremony on Sunday. He added that 40 sessions will take place across various panels, some of which will be broadcast live both in Iran and internationally.
He further noted that the Foreign Ministry will advance the Pezeshkian administration’s foreign policy agenda during this year’s Tehran Dialogue Forum.
Fifty media outlets from Iran and foreign countries will cover the forum.
