Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has accepted an invitation from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to visit Ankara next month. The visit will coincide with the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council meeting, which will be held in May.
A statement from al-Sudani's office confirmed the visit after he met with Turkish Ambassador Anil Bora Inan, who delivered the invitation. The prime minister expressed Iraq's commitment to strengthening its relationship with Turkey, emphasizing the importance of maintaining momentum in their growing bilateral ties across various sectors.
Al-Sudani further highlighted that the joint discussions would cover key areas including security, water, industry, energy, and transportation. These files are aimed at enhancing cooperation and serving the mutual interests of both countries.
