Uzbekistan hosts first Turkic Ski Cup
An inaugural Turkic Ski Cup will take place on 18th February 2025 at the Amirsoy Resort, Uzbekistan.
The informal summit of the heads of state of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) will take place on 20–21 May 2025 in Budapest, the capital of Hungary.
Hosted by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, the summit will bring together the Presidents of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Member States—Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan. Representatives of OTS Observer States, along with the Secretary General of the Organization, will also attend.
This marks the first time an OTS Summit is held in an observer state, underscoring Hungary’s growing role in deepening comprehensive cooperation with the Turkic world, said in its statement.
Held under the theme “Meeting Point of East and West,” the Informal Summit will provide a timely platform for heads of state to exchange views on strengthening collaboration in key priority areas and addressing regional and global challenges of shared concern.
The Summit is expected to conclude with the adoption of the Budapest Declaration, reaffirming the Organization’s collective vision and strategic direction. Several important decisions and new initiatives are also anticipated.
Ahead of the Summit, the OTS Council of Foreign Ministers will meet in Budapest to finalize the agenda and documents for submission to the heads of state.
