Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended the deadline until September 10 for foreigners who have violated migration rules to either legalize their stay in Russia or leave the country.
According to a decree published on Monday, the measure applies to foreign citizens and stateless persons listed in the database of individuals who no longer have legal grounds to remain in Russia.
The original deadline, set for April 30, has now been extended to September 10, giving them additional time to either leave the country or legalize their stay.
