According to the Uzbek Presidential Office, Mirziyoyev received Gor and his delegation in Tashkent during their official visit. U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau also attended the meeting, where Gor conveyed Trump’s greetings and warm wishes to the Uzbek leader.
Talks focused on the upcoming C5+1 Summit, which will bring together the presidents of Central Asian countries and the U.S. President in Washington. Both parties expressed satisfaction with the growing political dialogue, ongoing contacts at various levels, and expanding business relations between the two countries. They highlighted the importance of advancing joint projects in industry, finance, mining, energy, digitalisation, and agriculture under the previously agreed roadmap.
The two sides also reviewed cooperation on security, counterterrorism, combating extremism, and tackling illegal migration, as well as exchanged views on global and regional issues.
At the end of the meeting, Gor presented Mirziyoyev with a U.S. flag and a red cap bearing Trump’s signature.
