Kazakhstan’s GDP grew 4.4% in 2024, driven by a 5.1% rise in non-oil sectors and a 10.2% surge in processed exports.
Kazakhstan’s export of processed goods grew by 10.2% to $23.3 billion between January and November 2024, thanks to measures supporting local producers and promoting advanced processing, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov said during a meeting with President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on 17 December, as reported by Akorda.
At the same time, imports fell by 3.3%, while investments in fixed assets rose by 3.1%, with the most significant growth seen in non-oil industries.
Overall, the country’s GDP grew by 4.4% during this period. The non-oil sector was the main driver of this year’s economic growth, expanding by 5.1%.
