Rick Buckler, drummer of The Jam, has died at 69, his former bandmate Paul Weller confirmed.
Buckler, who co-founded The Jam in 1972 alongside Weller and Bruce Foxton, played a crucial role in the band's signature sound. Weller expressed his sorrow, recalling their journey from performing in pubs to becoming chart-topping artists.
Foxton also paid tribute, calling Buckler "a great drummer" whose innovative style shaped their music. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
The Jam remains one of Britain’s most celebrated rock bands, leaving a lasting legacy on the UK’s music scene.
