After two thrilling weeks of premieres and parties, the Cannes Film Festival prepares to close with the crowning of this year's prestigious Palme d'Or winner.
On Saturday night, a nine-member jury led by French actress Juliette Binoche will select the Palme d'Or winner from a lineup of 22 films.
High-profile entries from directors such as Wes Anderson, Ari Aster, Richard Linklater, and Joachim Trier are in the running. In addition to the top prize, the festival will also present awards for Grand Prix, jury prize, best director, best actor, and best screenplay.
The festival opened on May 13 with the French comedy “Leave One Day.”
