The closely guarded wedding of pop superstar Taylor Swift and famed NFL player Travis Kelce is speculated to take place in New York this week, with multiple media outlets and city officials pointing to Madison Square Garden as the venue.
Major media outlets suggest celebrations could begin on 2 July, with the main ceremony expected on 3 July.
The couple, who became engaged in August 2025 after nearly two years of highly publicised dating, have made no official announcement on timing or location.
Celebrity outlet Page Six reported that invitations were watermarked to prevent leaks, while security around the event was described as “Pentagon-level” according to one entertainment editor.
The couple’s trip to Lake Como in May 2024 sparked speculation they were scouting potential wedding venues, including the luxury Villa d'Este. Separate rumours also pointed to Swift’s oceanfront home in Rhode Island as a possible location, after wedding platform Wedding Chicks suggested it could host the ceremony.
However, fans' and media attention turned to New York, when city permit filings showed street closures around Madison Square Garden 2-4 July, adding to speculation.
According to Reuters and Page Six, preparations at the arena include extensive interior construction, artificial trees and large-scale décor installations, with more than 1,000 guests expected.
New York authorities are reportedly deploying over 100 police officers around the venue, with security measures compared by some outlets to a presidential-level event.
Online sleuths have been combing through celebrity schedules for clues about the guest list.
Among the latest discoveries: actress Mariska Hargitay, who was recently seen with Swift at a New York Knicks game, has cancelled Friday’s performance of her Broadway show Every Brilliant Thing.
