Italian land artist Dario Gambarin paid tribute to the Vatican's upcoming Holy Year by drawing a colossal artwork inspired by the Jubilee 2025 logo in a 25,000-square-meter farm field in Castagnaro, northern Italy. The piece, titled "Iubilaeum 2025," was completed in just five hours using a tractor and power harrow.

Gambarin drew inspiration from the official Jubilee logo, incorporating the acronym Latin for Jesus Saviour of Men, the motto of the Society of Jesus, to honor Pope Francis, who proclaimed the Holy Year. He also included the word PAX, which stands for "peace" in Latin as a heartfelt plea for peace amid ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine.

He is known internationally for his large-scale land portraits of politicians such as Barack Obama, Donald Trump, Pope Francis, Kamala Harris, and Nelson Mandela, underscoring his unique ability to combine art with powerful messages of faith and unity.

The Vatican’s Holy Year, a major event in the Roman Catholic Church, begins on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, when Pope Francis will open the Basilica’s bronze door, symbolizing salvation. Typically held every 25 years, the Jubilee is expected to draw around 30 million pilgrims to Rome, seeking forgiveness and renewal.
