Azerbaijan took part in the fourth meeting of heads of ministries and agencies responsible for ICT development among Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, held in Karamay, China.
Representing Azerbaijan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Bakhtiyar Mammadov, delivered a speech highlighting recent initiatives and projects in the country’s ICT sector. He reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s commitment to expanding collaboration with SCO member states and acknowledged the organization’s role in promoting regional progress.
During his visit, Mammadov toured several advanced Huawei facilities, including the Intelligent Transportation Systems Center and the Green Cloud Data Center, where he was introduced to cutting-edge solutions in smart mobility and sustainable digital technologies.
He also met with Angela Lin, Vice President of Huawei's Middle East and Central Asia Division, along with other senior executives. The discussions focused on potential partnerships in digital infrastructure, smart transport technologies, and environmentally friendly innovations.
