Ukraine will participate in the NATO summit in The Hague after receiving an official invitation, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed in a video address.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed that Ukraine has received an official invitation to attend the NATO summit scheduled for June 24–25 in The Hague. Zelenskyy noted that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga will now begin talks with international counterparts to discuss the summit’s infrastructure and potential outcomes.

Earlier, there were doubts about Ukraine’s attendance. Yegor Chernev, the head of Ukraine’s NATO Parliamentary Assembly delegation, reported that NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte had avoided providing a definitive answer to Kyiv’s request for participation. According to diplomatic sources, NATO may be aiming to shorten the summit and limit President Zelenskyy’s role to avoid friction with U.S. President Donald Trump.
