Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday condemned Russia's recent wave of air attacks as a deliberate political move by President Vladimir Putin, rather than a military necessity.
“There is no military sense in this, but it is an obvious political choice — a choice by Putin, a choice by Russia — a choice to continue the war and destroy lives,” Zelenskyy said in his nightly video address.
Over the past three nights, Russia has launched more than 900 drones and missiles at Ukrainian targets. Zelenskyy accused Moscow of using these attacks to undermine diplomatic efforts, saying Russia “is playing with diplomacy” and urged the international community to apply greater pressure. “Russia deserves full-scale pressure — everything possible to limit their military capability,” he said.
