The United Nations has accused Myanmar’s military of obstructing humanitarian aid to earthquake-affected regions, warning that the situation is rapidly deteriorating in areas outside military control.
The United Nations human rights office stated on Friday that Myanmar's military is restricting the delivery of humanitarian aid to several earthquake-affected regions.
Ravina Shamdasani, spokesperson for the U.N. Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, warned of a worsening humanitarian crisis, particularly in areas beyond the military’s control, where access to life-saving assistance remains severely limited.
