Five people were taken to hospital with stab wounds and later arrested after a violent incident at a music event in Thamesmead, southeast London.
Five individuals were injured in a stabbing incident on Sint Nicolaasstraat, near Amsterdam’s well-known Dam Square, authorities confirmed on Thursday.
Amsterdam police reported that officers swiftly responded to the scene after receiving alerts about the attack. A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the incident, but officials have not yet disclosed any details regarding their identity or potential motives.
Authorities initially informed the public via social media, stating that an investigation was in progress. While inquiries continue, officials have yet to determine the reason behind the attack.
“A motive is currently still unclear, but part of our investigation,” the police stated on X.
