An explosion at Chuo Spring Co.'s plant in Toyota, Japan, has resulted in one death and two injuries, officials reported on Thursday.
The plant, where the blast occurred, produces auto parts and supplies them to Toyota Motor.
A fire department official stated that the local fire department received an emergency call stating, "a dust collector exploded" and that "the rooftop came off."
The management of Toyota Motors and Chuo Spring have acknowledged the explosion but are still gathering details about the incident.
A similar explosion occurred at the factory in 2023, causing the automaker to partially suspend production at several domestic plants.
