According to Focus Taiwan, the injured individuals were rescued from collapsed structures. They were among 11 residents extracted from six buildings that had either collapsed or suffered significant damage. Seven others escaped serious harm.
In total, more than 10 single-storey houses in the area either fully or partially collapsed due to the earthquake and subsequent aftershocks. Emergency response efforts are ongoing.
